Portuguese property sector is stabilising
For the first time in four years, the Portuguese property sector is stabilising – and developers are the first to benefit, with values of new homes rising, new figures show.
“Although we are minded to play down the headline reading at this stage, the survey’s other sales market indicators are still providing signals which indicate prices are likely to stabilise – in the true sense – during the second half of the year.”
Buyer interest and sales activity have been rising more or less consistently since the start of 2014. Meanwhile, price expectations have moved out of negative territory for the first time since the survey was launched in 2010 and sales expectations remain buoyant.
