What effect will the maturity of millions of SSIA's (Special Savings Incentive Accounts) in Ireland have on the international property market?
Over the next year, approximately 1.1 million SSIA's will reach maturity, pouring around 16 billion euros into the Irish economy. With the government topping up accounts by 1 euro for every four saved, returns on the savings schemes are particularly high. With this growth in disposable income throughout the country, how much of it will find its way into international property and which markets have the most to gain?
