Discover Tremblant
Situated just 90 mintues from Montreal, the region of Tremblant has been voted north eastern Canada's best ski location for 9 consecutive years and can trace its history back to the early 20th century. The story of the area however is still being told, as the ski areas grow, international standard golf courses are introduced and tourist numbers continue to rise.
Accessibility from the UK is effortless as Montreal receives numerous daily flights, taking approximately 6 hours.
The area is attracting visitors for the year round activities as along with extensive skiing and golf amenities, white water rafting, hiking, horse riding, cross country skiing, cycling and numerous water sports are also available within the 373,000 acre Mont Tremblant National Park. The largest and first national park to be created in Quebec, it epitomises Canada's beauty and tranquillity.
For motor sports enthusiasts, Mont Tremblant also boasts a former Formula 1 race track that has now been rejuvenated by Lawrence Stroll, owner of the Tommy Hilfiger clothing label. Along with numerous races throughout the year, the track has recently become the only Ferrari driving school located outside of Italy. The new school offers access to factory owned Ferrari's and racing classes for a 2.5 day period.
As Canada's second largest city, Montreal itself provides a wealth of leisure amenities, including high street shops and boutiques, numerous hotels and restaurants and distinct commercial quarters. In 2001, Travelers Digest ranked Montreal as the number one city for culture, architecture, history and ambiance.
