Golf
Sicily already boasts two challenging and enjoyable 18 hole courses with a number of other developments planned for the near future, including two championship courses at the Rocco Forte Verdura Golf & Spa Resort which is set to open in 2009. In the meantime, both courses - Il Picciolo and Le Madonie - offer an opportunity to play golf in fantastic locations and a great climate without the crowds, slow play and high green fees that are typical of many of the more established golfing destinations elsewhere in the Mediterranean.
