New Budget Flights from UK to Morocco
Low cost airline Ryanair will add Morocco onto its list of European
destinations as of next month, which will help to boost tourism in the North
African country.
The more accessible destinations are, the more tourists will flock there. Morocco
has just been made more far more accessible with the news that budget airline
Ryanair will provide a direct route from Stansted to Agadir towards the end of
next month.
Now that the airline, which currently flies to more than 145 destinations throughout Europe from London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted, has introduced the Morocco flights, it represents a further boost to the attraction of Morocco, and will no doubt boost tourist numbers.
Spokesperson for Ryanair, Bridget Dowling, said, "Agadir is an increasingly popular holiday destination and now consumers can take advantage of the guaranteed lowest fares to the beautiful Moroccan coast."
Tourism in Morocco is already strong, with the country attracting a record number of people last year, with 7.4 million tourists flocking to destinations including Marrakesh and Tangier.
Where accessibility and tourist numbers rise, so does interest from international investors. Rental investors looking to cash in on the growing numbers of visitors may now be looking at Morocco as a potential money spinner, especially in light of the news that the Moroccan Government is currently aiming to boost annual visitor numbers to 10 million by 2010.
